CS - Don Phantissimo I by Xeranad CS - Don Phantissimo I by Xeranad
Name: Don Phantissimo

Real Name: Enrico Esposito

Age: Unknown, possibly late twenties (during the Golden Age)
Height: Unknown, as all reports suggest different heights
Weight: Unknown, as all reports suggest different body builds
Eyes: Sapphire Blue
Hair: Golden Blond

Alignment: Neutral Evil

Appearance: Body build and height reports are all different, but from what we can deduce he is a man often dressed in dark clothing, with a wide brimmed hat topped with a red feather. He wears a mask over his face which covers most of it save his mouth and chin, and from what we can see his face is badly scarred.

Personality: Very much a man who views life itself as just a stage. While a knowledgeable and reasonable person, he is also eccentric, one might even say flamboyant. He has a habit of singing in the middle of sentences as well as doing vocal exercises whenever he gets the chance.

Base of operations: The Esposito Estate

Mode of transportation: Varies. From the several access passages and spider holes around Angel Falls to a specially designed limo.

Skills: Acting, singing, fencing, smuggling, body building, stagecraft

Hobbies: Attending operas and plays, singing

Powers: None, he's an ordinary human. He only APPEARS to be powerful through sleight of hand and stagecraft ingenuity.

Pride: He has a massive ego, especially regarding his abilities as an actor and vocalist.

Born and soon orphaned at a very young age, Enrico had long forgotten his last name before he took on his new surname Esposito, literally meaning "orphan", a cold reminder to himself of a single harsh reality of his life: he was alone. Despite this, he made it his mission to rise up in society as a member of the elite, and he soon discovered he had a knack for acting, singing, and even the workings of the theater. He became a child actor, constantly honing his skills in the craft and eventually becoming one of Angel Falls biggest acting stars... until an accident caused a fire during one of his performances that badly scarred his face. This setback destroyed the career he had spent years attempting to achieve, and while he had earned enough money to live comfortably, it wasn't infinite, and any other job involving his talents sadly didn't pay well enough for the lifestyle he had now grown accustomed to. However, even after this fall from grace he still had fans... a mafia family happily extended to him an invitation to join their ranks, at first as a low level grunt. But he quickly proved his ingenuity at smuggling goods and extroting money from people for protection, so much so he outdid even his bosses. After a few years, he became the head of the Mafia family, and soon adopted his iconic mask and dark clothing, renaming himself Don Phantissimo.

Don Phantissimo is a villain from the Golden Age of :iconangel-fallsda:, and several of his schemes and operations still resonate in the modern world... the Esposito Estate, for example, still stands.

Huh, an interesting guy, wonder what became of him.

Time happened. Maybe he reformed, maybe not. He did write about his life and exploits, and he did have kids, and those kids also had kids. Let's just say that he'd more than likely be over one hundred years old if he were still alive today... so I doubt he is still around. That doesn't mean someone else can't take up his mantle though... heh heh heh.

Looks like a fusion of The Mask and Scarecrow from New Adventures of Batman. And that's a damn good design.

I initially based him on Don Octavio from Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, and just ran with the concept of Phantom of the Opera themed Mafia don much, much farther than Octavio ever went. I've been told he has quite a bit of Mysterio in him as well.

All the same, he deserves a creepy theme to compliment his appearance.…

A HA! Found a good one!…

As much as I appreciate this... I feel it is too creepy. He has a very bombastic and energetic personality, as he is a former actor turned mafia don. And even though he is a supervillain, his heart forever belongs to the stage... so something like this sounds a bit more fitting.…

That being said, perhaps this theme is TOO bombastic... ugh, it is so hard to find a good middle ground.
