Anyway, a while ago posted a list of characters who were used as inspirations for his characters Doc Valiant, Eviscerare, and Black Spider. So, about time I tried my hand at it.
Here are the characters who inspired the creation of my most vile and twisted of villains, Xeranad Lekard.
1 ) ANY DARK LORD
Pick a dark lord type character. Is it Sauron? Voldemort? Darth Vader? Darkseid? Ganondorf? While all of them certainly attribute to the sheer terror that Xeranad can inspire in the characters, the best ones, at least for me, are options one and three. Also Exdeath from Final Fantasy V... seriously an underrated villain (I don't care if he is cliche, he got within a gnat's whisker of achieving his goal).
2 ) Nyarlathotep
Nyarlathotep of H.P. Lovecraft lore inspired Xeranad's unique existence and nature, basically being an amalgamation of evil intent and desire. As such, Xeranad is just as incapable of compassion as Nyarlathotep, though he can certainly fake it.
3 ) Warachia
Now for the design of Xeranad's character. And for that, we go to the Nasuverse. Hell, a LOT of Xeranad's character was inspired by the works of Type Moon, especially Fate/Stay Night, but that's not what we're talking about right now. His design in particular was taken from the vampire formed from rumors, Warachia. Here's a video. Now tell me you don't see it.
4 ) Gilgamesh (from Fate/Stay Night, Fate/Zero and Fate/Extra CCC)
Once again, another character from the same universe influencing Xeranad Lekard. But this isn't where Xer gets his design, backstory, or personality from... this is where his sheer POWER comes from. Watch. BTW, Xeranad can't do that last one... hallelujah for that... but I'm pretty sure Angra Mainyu could. Also, Angra Mainyu was a character in the Fate series as well, and was the inspiration for Xer's backstory... though I used the one from Zoroastronism.
5 ) Discord
MLP haters, shut up. John de Lancie's performance as Discord was impressive, easily having the best personality of any of the villains on the show. This is where Xer's penchant for trolling comes from, and boy can Xer troll with the best of em.
6 ) Deathstroke/Slade
And now where Xer's mask and sociopathic nature comes in. Slade from the show Teen Titans, voiced exceptionally well by Ron Perlman, had as much to do with Xer's design as Warachia above, as well as my ultimate decision to make Xeranad a complete and utter sociopathic monster... though one who is far more charming than Slade is.
7 ) Tohru Adachi (from Persona 4, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax)
Where Xeranad Lekard gets his laid back attitude about just about everything sent his way. As well as his temper should things start falling apart on him (it rarely happens, but when it does, he throws the mother of all tantrums).

Uh... deviantART? The hell is this?
So... I've been having problems with dA for a little while. On my computer I cannot seem to post status updates easily. This alone hasn't been a deal breaker... More annoying still is the most recent development where I am, for whatever reason, unable to buy ANYTHING from dA. I cannot purchase a commission from other artists and I cannot buy points. What gives, dA? Do you suddenly believe you are too good for my money, or is this an issue you are unaware exists and have yet to properly resolve?
Update and Stuff
Hello all. Firstly, things are gonna be a bit hectic for a while, as having to get everything situated at my place after my brother left and my new roommate moved in, things have gotten rather tiring. Secondly, I've been attempting to create my own universe for Aria, which currently has the title of "Wandering Silver". I am not finished with the first story yet, but if anyone wants to help with the development, don't hesitate to ask.
My First Time As Dungeon Master
Well... that happened. So, for the record, less than an hour ago my first time as a Dungeon Master came and ended. It was going alright... until the power went out and our friend joining us via Skype lost his connection. As a result, we had to call it there. So, how did I do? Well, it ended way too quickly for me to really say. But I think I did alright for a first time. I mostly just flew by the seat of my pants with the town and the NPCs but the scenario and encounters I had planned in advance... stuff that I sadly didn't get to do because of the power outage. So, the stuff I spent the last half of a week working on amounted to nothing. That said, our one shot will continue from where we left off next week. Hopefully I can get to an enemy encounter BEFORE something else happens to stop it in it's tracks.
DnD Review: The Artificer Class
So, it's been about 6 years since Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition came out. And in that time it has exploded in popularity, partially thanks to podcasts like Critical Role. And in that time, it wasn't until near the end of 2019 that a new class was finally added to the game, the Artificer, which had been in the beta stages for several years, starting as a subclass for the Wizard and Cleric before becoming it's own thing entirely, and it took roughly 2 years to iron out the details. Having played an Artificer during it's beta stages as my character, Wagner Krieg von Glasfyre, a True Neutral Human Noble Alchemist (yeesh that is a mouthful),
